Great Movie Costumes
Movie costumes
are some of the most popular costumes available.
There's nothing quite like the action, adventure and romance of Summer blockbuster movies. Families tend to make a big thing out of them -- the kids are out of school and a trip to a much anticipated showing of a movie that everyone's been looking forward to, is a real treat. Often, children know the characters already because if the first movie was good, there are often sequels, and they may be timed out to be released once a year. Many Summer movies aren't considered Blockbusters as such but are great entertainment along with the larger releases.

Children love to have themed birthday parties and Halloween trick or treating with their favorite characters (which they may have just seen the movie on) featuring the very same characters, and parents can go whole hog or low key depending how much their kids are into that character or "cast".
Homes can be decorated and sometimes even the dog gets dressed up for the event (albeit, perhaps reluctantly!) Paper goods, party favors, decorations, piñatas, posters and hundreds of costumes and accessories are available so that children will have a memorable Summer. Often, they can reuse the movie costumes or decorations in their room and remember the great Summer just past. The
Spider-Man
franchise is still going strong. Tobey Maguire plays a terrific Peter Parker and has done so for the previous three Spider-Man movies. Spider-Man 4 was due to be released in the Summer of 2011 but has been "rebooted" to 2012. Fans have to live off the first 3 films for a while longer. They took $597 million dollars to make but grossed $2.5 billion so far, across the globe. Several records were set, so the fourth movie in the series will be much anticipated. It has a new director, Marc Webb, as well as a new Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone will play Gwen Stacy. Of course, it will be in 3-D. Watch out for that spider's web and those eye-catching movie costumes!

Another superhero,
Captain America
, will be in theatres this July. Steve Rogers is the undercover Captain America, and he became so after getting turned away from military service because he was unfit. A top secret project makes him into this very popular superhero. Samuel L. Jackson, Hugo Weaving and Chris Evans star in The First Avenger: Captain America. Adults and kids alike love this hero's costume because it really epitomizes the symbols of America with its red, white and blue colors, as well as stars and a winged hat.
Cars 2
by Disney is out this Summer and as the first movie was incredibly popular with children, it should be another blockbuster for Disney. Everywhere you go at Disneyland and Disneyworld you can see the gang from Cars in toys and accessories and even piñatas! The latter has to be ordered because it's large but you can usually find them easily along with all sorts of costumes for that favorite themed birthday party or Halloween event.
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2
is the very last movie (or so they say...) in the exceptionally popular Harry Potter series, taken from Rowling's immensely lucrative series of books. They have been translated into dozens of languages and distributed all over the world. Fans of Harry and his friends love to dress up in costumes, wave a wand or two around and they do this even while waiting in line for a movie! Halloween and birthday parties are favorite times for the entire family to dress in movie costumes as their favorite Hogwarts characters, and ladle some bubbling punch from a bowl! Universal Studios in Florida even has a new (and large) Harry Potter attraction. Check out
